About This Role
SunPath Solar is hiring Solar Panel Installers for residential and commercial solar projects across the United States. Solar installation is one of the fastest-growing trades in America and a well-paying career you can build without a four-year degree. We provide hands-on training, NABCEP credentials support, and a clear path to foreman and project management roles for motivated installers who want to grow with the clean energy economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panel arrays, racking systems, inverters, and battery storage systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground mounts
- Run conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections between solar arrays, inverters, disconnects, and utility interconnection points
- Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, and permit sets to execute installations that match engineering specifications
- Perform system commissioning including inverter programming, string testing, and production monitoring setup
- Ensure all work complies with NEC electrical code, local building code, and utility interconnection requirements
- Maintain a safe work site including fall protection, electrical safety, and tool/materials organisation
- Coordinate with homeowners, building inspectors, and utility representatives during installation and inspection phases
Required Skills and Qualifications
- No college degree required — NABCEP PV Installation Professional credential or equivalent solar training preferred
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred
- Electrical knowledge — journeyman electrician licence or apprenticeship experience is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working on rooftops at heights and in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence and ability to drive company vehicles to job sites
- Physical fitness for lifting solar modules (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in confined roof spaces
