Electrical Engineer - Powertrain

About the Role

Tesla is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Powertrain to design and validate high-voltage battery and motor systems for next-generation electric vehicles. You will work in a fast-moving, hardware-focused environment at the cutting edge of EV technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design schematics and PCB layouts for HV powertrain control systems
• Develop and execute hardware validation test plans
• Debug electrical failures using oscilloscopes, CAN analyzers, and custom tools
• Collaborate with firmware, thermal, and mechanical engineering teams
• Support manufacturing engineering during production ramp

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of power electronics or automotive electrical design experience
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar EDA tools
• Experience with CAN, LIN, or automotive communication protocols
