About This Role
ContentFirst India is looking for a talented SEO Content Writer for a freelance engagement based in Bangalore. You will write optimised blog posts, articles, landing pages, and web content for our portfolio of digital clients across tech, finance, health, and e-commerce sectors. This is a flexible, output-based role that lets you work from home or a café in Bangalore while earning competitive per-article or monthly rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Research assigned topics thoroughly and produce well-structured, factually accurate, and engaging long-form articles and blog posts
- Perform keyword research using SEO tools and naturally integrate target keywords, LSI terms, and semantic phrases into content
- Write compelling meta titles, meta descriptions, and header structures optimised for search engine ranking
- Edit and proofread all content for grammar, spelling, tone consistency, and factual accuracy before delivery
- Follow detailed content briefs specifying word count, audience, keywords, tone, and internal linking requirements
- Deliver assignments on schedule and proactively communicate delays or scope clarifications to the content manager
- Revise content based on editorial or client feedback within 24 hours of the revision request
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or any field with excellent writing ability
- Demonstrated SEO writing experience with a portfolio of published articles
- Knowledge of on-page SEO, keyword placement, internal linking, and content structure best practices
- Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, or Google Search Console
- Ability to write for at least 2–3 industry verticals with consistent tone and reader-appropriate language
- Self-directed, deadline-driven work ethic suited to freelance output targets
