About This Role
BuildCore India is hiring Junior Mechanical Engineers for infrastructure and construction projects across Delhi NCR. You will support senior engineers in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and mechanical utility systems on large residential, commercial, and metro infrastructure projects. This is an excellent first or second job for mechanical engineering graduates seeking site-based project experience in a fast-growing construction company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems
- Supervise the on-site installation of mechanical systems by sub-contractors and vendor teams
- Conduct material inspections and equipment testing at vendor factories and on-site before acceptance
- Monitor daily site progress, prepare daily reports, and flag deviations from approved drawings to the project engineer
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve inter-discipline conflicts during construction
- Assist in commissioning, testing, and handover documentation of mechanical systems on project completion
- Maintain site safety standards in compliance with client HSE policies and applicable IS/NBC norms
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems, fire-fighting standards, and mechanical engineering principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel for drawings and report preparation
- Willingness to work on-site in Delhi NCR across project locations in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and clients
- 0–3 years of site experience; freshers with strong academics are welcome to apply
