About This Role
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is hiring Graduate Electrical Engineers to work on the planning, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of its high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. This is an exceptional opportunity for B.Tech/B.E. Electrical graduates to join India's premier urban rail project and gain hands-on engineering experience in traction power, station electrical systems, and renewable energy installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems including traction power substations, 33 kV/11 kV feeders, OHE (overhead electrification), and station distribution systems
- Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance and testing of transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, and HT/LT panels
- Manage work permits, safety isolation procedures, and crew supervision for all HV electrical maintenance activities
- Review and verify vendor drawings, shop drawings, and test reports for electrical equipment and installations
- Investigate electrical failures and equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support new line commissioning activities including factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and energisation procedures
- Ensure compliance with CEA regulations, IS standards, and DMRC's internal electrical engineering standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Knowledge of power systems, electrical machines, protection systems, and HV safety practices
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, energy management systems, and BMS is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex electrical engineering situations
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, on-site at stations and depots across the Delhi Metro network
- Gate score is an advantage for candidates applying through DMRC's competitive recruitment process
