About This Role
EduFirst India is seeking Evening Online English Tutors to deliver live one-on-one and small group English lessons to students across India via video conferencing. This role is designed for teachers, graduates, and communication professionals based in Chennai who prefer evening teaching hours and want to work from home or a convenient location with a stable internet connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live online English tutoring sessions for school students, college applicants, or working professionals during the evening shift
- Assess each student's current English proficiency and design personalised lesson plans targeting their specific weaknesses
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, essay writing, and spoken English communication skills
- Prepare and share lesson materials, practice exercises, and reading lists before each session
- Track student progress and provide written feedback reports to parents or students at regular intervals
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and mock tests to prepare students for exams or interviews
- Maintain punctuality and a professional, encouraging teaching demeanour during every online session
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or any field with strong English language skills
- Excellent spoken and written English with an ability to teach at multiple levels (beginner to advanced)
- Comfortable with Zoom, Google Meet, or similar video conferencing platforms
- Patient, structured, and student-centred approach to English language instruction
- Teaching certification (CELTA, B.Ed., or equivalent) is an advantage
- Prior tutoring, coaching, or classroom English teaching experience is preferred

- Monthly earnings of ₹15,000–₹28,000 based on number of sessions and student feedback ratings
