About This Role
EduFirst India is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our growing education team in Bangalore. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support lead instructors in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom activities, and helping students achieve their learning goals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering classroom lessons
- Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce understanding of core concepts
- Prepare teaching materials, handouts, and visual aids for daily lessons
- Monitor student attendance, behaviour, and performance and report observations to senior educators
- Grade assignments, tests, and homework and provide constructive feedback to students
- Organise and maintain classroom resources, supplies, and digital learning tools
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide progress updates on individual students
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities as assigned by school management
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment in the classroom
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Arts, Science, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Kannada
- Basic knowledge of teaching methodologies and child development principles
- Ability to manage groups of students patiently and effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic e-learning tools
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is an advantage but not mandatory
