About This Role

Sunrise Public School in Meerut is hiring a Mathematics Teacher for Classes 8 to 12. You will teach CBSE Mathematics with a focus on building strong conceptual understanding and board exam preparation skills. This is a full-time, regular school hours position suited for B.Sc. Maths or B.Tech graduates who enjoy teaching and want a stable career in education. B.Ed. holders are preferred but candidates with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude will also be considered.

Role Context

You will teach 5–6 periods daily across Classes 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 Maths. Class strength is 40–45 students per section. The school has three sections per class and you may have co-teachers for the same subject in other sections. You will coordinate with the academic coordinator on syllabus pacing, internal exam paper setting, and board exam preparation strategy for Class 10 and 12 students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach CBSE Mathematics for Classes 8 to 12 as per the prescribed syllabus
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and practice worksheets for each chapter
• Set and evaluate internal exam question papers for assigned classes
• Track student performance and provide targeted remedial sessions for weak students
• Prepare Class 12 students for board exams with focus on NCERT and past papers
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress clearly

Requirements & Skills

• B.Sc. (Maths), B.Tech, or M.Sc. Maths — strong subject knowledge is the primary requirement
• B.Ed. preferred — candidates without B.Ed. but with teaching experience also considered
• Ability to explain complex topics in simple, step-by-step language
• Patient, consistent, and genuinely invested in student outcomes
• Meerut resident or willing to relocate within the city
