About This Role
EduFirst India is hiring an empathetic and driven Education Counselor to guide students and parents through course selection, career planning, and admissions processes at our Mumbai centre. You will play a central role in connecting aspiring learners with the right educational pathways and helping them make informed decisions about their academic futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents on suitable courses, universities, and career options aligned with individual interests and academic backgrounds
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions and group orientation workshops for prospective students
- Assist students with the college or programme application process, including documentation and deadline management
- Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, student profiles, and admissions outcomes
- Coordinate with admission teams of partner universities and institutions for referrals and updates
- Follow up with prospective students and convert leads into confirmed enrolments
- Represent EduFirst India at education fairs, school visits, and community outreach events
- Stay updated on trends in higher education, entrance exams, and scholarship opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and counselling communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive conversations and support students under academic stress
- Knowledge of Indian higher education landscape, entrance exams (JEE, NEET, CAT, etc.), and career options
- Strong follow-up, documentation, and CRM management skills
- Prior experience in education counselling or student affairs is preferred
