About This Role

BuildCore India is hiring an Automation Engineer for its Bangalore building automation and smart systems practice. The role covers BMS design coordination, BACnet and Modbus protocol integration, HVAC controls programming, and commissioning of building automation systems for commercial and data center fit-out projects. B.E. Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering graduates with 2–4 years of BMS or industrial automation experience are encouraged to apply.

Role Context

Reporting to the Automation Systems Lead, you will work within a four-person BMS engineering team responsible for automation design, programming, and commissioning on active commercial projects in Bangalore. You will coordinate with MEP consultants, HVAC contractors, and client IT/FM teams to ensure BMS integration meets project specifications and client operational requirements. Commissioning phases require extended site hours and may involve weekend work on critical project handover milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Design BMS point schedules, control narratives, and sequence of operations for HVAC and lighting systems
Program BMS controllers using Siemens, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls BAS platforms as per project
Configure BACnet, Modbus, and LONWORKS protocol communications between field devices and BMS servers
Commission BMS systems including I/O verification, loop tuning, and integrated system functional testing
Coordinate with HVAC contractors on control valve, actuator, and sensor installation and wiring verification
Prepare as-built BMS drawings, point schedules, and O&M manuals for client handover packages
Provide post-commissioning support and training to client FM teams on BMS operator workstation use
Troubleshoot BMS communication and controller issues on commissioned projects during DLP periods

Requirements & Skills

B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering with 2–4 years of BMS experience
Hands-on programming experience with Siemens, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls BAS platforms
Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and LONWORKS protocol configuration for field device integration
Practical HVAC controls knowledge including chiller sequencing, AHU control, and VFD integration
AutoCAD proficiency for BMS drawing preparation and point schedule documentation
Strong communication skills for coordinating with MEP contractors and client FM teams during commissioning
Willingness to travel to project sites across Bangalore and occasionally to other cities for commissioning

Monthly salary of ₹28,000–₹55,000 based on BMS programming experience and platform expertise
