Role Context

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will work across one to two Chennai construction sites conducting daily inspections, managing concrete and reinforcement quality records, coordinating with the approved testing laboratory, and maintaining the project's Quality Management Plan documentation. You will issue Non-Conformance Reports for quality deviations, track corrective action closure, and participate in internal and external quality audits. The role requires a combination of technical construction knowledge and systematic process discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily construction quality inspections covering reinforcement, formwork, concrete pours, and masonry
• Manage concrete cube sampling, lab submission, and compressive strength record maintenance for all pours
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports for quality deviations and track corrective action closure with site teams
• Verify that materials received on site carry valid test certificates and meet approved specifications
• Maintain the Construction Quality Plan register including inspection request, hold point, and witness point records
• Coordinate with the approved testing laboratory for material testing and calibration requirements
• Prepare and participate in internal quality audits and manage third-party client inspection coordination
• Update quality documentation including ITP registers, test result compilations, and monthly quality reports

Requirements & Skills

• B.E. in Civil Engineering with 1–3 years of construction QA/QC experience on building projects
• Knowledge of construction quality standards including IS codes for concrete, reinforcement, and masonry
• Practical experience conducting concrete cube testing, slump tests, and reinforcement diameter checks
• Familiarity with Quality Management Plan documentation, NCR processes, and ITP maintenance
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management principles in a construction context
• AutoCAD proficiency for reviewing drawing revisions during inspection and NCR marking
• Disciplined documentation habits — quality records must be accurate, complete, and audit-ready at all times
