About This Role

TechForge India is hiring a Structural Engineer for its Mumbai engineering consultancy practice. The role involves structural analysis, design of RCC and steel structures for industrial and infrastructure clients, and preparation of structural drawings and specifications. B.E./M.E. Civil or Structural Engineering graduates with 2–5 years of structural design experience using STAAD.Pro or ETABS are preferred for this full-time position at the Mumbai design office.

Role Context

Reporting to the Principal Structural Engineer, you will work within a design team of six engineers on industrial building structures, mezzanine floors, pipe rack foundations, and equipment support structures for petrochemical and manufacturing clients. Projects are primarily based in Maharashtra and Gujarat. You will handle structural design from concept through detailed drawing issue, coordinate with civil and process engineers on interface requirements, and support site teams during construction through RFI responses and inspection visits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis for RCC and structural steel buildings using STAAD.Pro and ETABS software
Design foundations, columns, beams, and slabs in accordance with IS 456, IS 800, and IS 875 standards
Prepare detailed structural drawings including general arrangement, reinforcement detailing, and connection designs
Design industrial structures including pipe racks, equipment foundations, and mezzanine platforms
Coordinate with process and mechanical engineers on equipment loads, nozzle loads, and pipe routing interfaces
Review vendor-submitted structural drawings for compliance with project specifications and design intent
Respond to site RFIs promptly and provide design clarifications during construction phases
Prepare structural design basis documents and technical specifications for new project scopes

Requirements & Skills

B.E. or M.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2–5 years of structural design experience
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for static and dynamic structural analysis of industrial building structures
Good knowledge of IS 456, IS 800, IS 875 (Wind and Seismic), and relevant BIS structural codes
Experience designing industrial RCC and structural steel structures including equipment foundations
AutoCAD proficiency for structural drawing preparation and detailing work
Ability to perform design calculations manually and interpret structural analysis software outputs critically
Experience with petrochemical, power, or manufacturing sector structural projects is a strong advantage

Monthly salary of ₹30,000–₹60,000 based on structural design experience and industrial sector exposure
