About This Role

BuildCore India is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its Hyderabad MEP team to manage electrical design coordination, installation supervision, and commissioning support on residential and commercial construction projects. B.E. Electrical Engineering graduates with 1–4 years of building electrical systems experience covering LT distribution, lighting, UPS, DG, and fire alarm systems are preferred for this full-time onsite role in Hyderabad.

Role Context

Reporting to the MEP Manager, you will work across two to three active construction sites in Hyderabad managing electrical subcontractor supervision, drawing coordination, material procurement support, and testing and commissioning activities. You will coordinate with structural and civil site teams to resolve service routing conflicts and with external electrical consultants to review shop drawings and RFI responses. The role involves daily site presence and regular reporting to the project management team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise LT panel installation, cable laying, conduit routing, and containment work on active project sites
Review electrical shop drawings and coordinate modifications with the electrical consultant
Manage electrical material approvals including cables, switchgear, lighting fixtures, and DB equipment
Conduct pre-commissioning checks and testing for LT distribution boards, lighting circuits, and earthing systems
Coordinate fire alarm, PA system, and building automation cabling installation with specialist subcontractors
Prepare daily electrical site progress reports and material reconciliation records
Verify that all electrical installations comply with NBC and IS code requirements before concealment
Support energy audits and power quality checks during project handover and defects liability phases

Requirements & Skills

B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
1–4 years of MEP or building electrical systems experience on construction projects
Knowledge of LT distribution design, cable sizing, and switchgear selection for building applications
Familiarity with NBC 2016 electrical requirements, IS 732 cable standards, and IE Rules compliance
AutoCAD proficiency for reviewing electrical layout drawings and coordinating MEP services routing
Comfortable supervising electricians and subcontractors on active construction sites in Hyderabad
Experience with DG set installations, UPS systems, or solar PV systems is an advantage

Monthly salary of ₹25,000–₹48,000 based on MEP and building electrical systems experience
