Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Pune

TechForge India

full-time Onsite India

Job Description

About This Role

TechForge India is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Pune manufacturing facility. The company produces precision machined components for automotive and industrial equipment clients, and this role involves process engineering, production support, tooling management, and quality problem-solving on the shop floor. B.E. Mechanical Engineering graduates with 1–4 years of manufacturing process experience in a machining or fabrication environment are encouraged to apply for this full-time onsite role.

Role Context

Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, you will work on the Pune shop floor across CNC machining, turning, and assembly sections. The role involves direct interaction with machine operators, tooling suppliers, and quality inspectors. You will be responsible for process parameter optimization, tooling change management, production rejection analysis, and supporting the new product introduction process from engineering prototype to production release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize process parameters for CNC turning, milling, and grinding operations
  • Manage tooling selection, inventory, and change management for assigned machining sections
  • Investigate and resolve production quality rejections through root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Support new product introduction by preparing process sheets, tooling layouts, and first article inspections
  • Monitor production cycle times and identify improvement opportunities through time and motion studies
  • Coordinate with quality engineers on dimensional inspection requirements and gauge calibration schedules
  • Prepare engineering change notes and update process documentation following design or process modifications
  • Support preventive maintenance scheduling for CNC machines with input on machining degradation patterns

Requirements & Skills

  • B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • 1–4 years of process engineering or production engineering experience in a CNC machining environment
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, tooling selection, and cutting parameter optimization for turning and milling
  • Working familiarity with GD&T, dimensional inspection tools, and first article inspection procedures
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks for drawing review and basic 2D layout work
  • Problem-solving ability for rejection analysis using 8D, 5-Why, or Ishikawa methodology
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop floor environment with daily production teams

Benefits & Work Conditions

  • Monthly salary of ₹25,000–₹50,000 based on CNC manufacturing experience and process engineering depth
  • PF and ESI benefits from joining date as per statutory requirements
  • Annual manufacturing conference or IMTMA training attendance supported by the company
  • SolidWorks and CAM software license access for process design and simulation work
  • Promotion pathway to Senior Process Engineer and Assistant Production Manager within 3–4 years

Who Should Apply

This role is ideal for mechanical engineers who want to build expertise in precision manufacturing process engineering rather than design or project management. If you are energized by production problem-solving, comfortable with machinists and shop floor teams, and want to develop deep CNC process and tooling knowledge in a precision components manufacturing environment in Pune, TechForge India provides the machining complexity, the product diversity, and the engineering team structure to develop strong manufacturing engineering credentials.
