Resume writers handle three to eight client assignments per day depending on complexity and are supported by team leads who review drafts and provide feedback. All writing is performed in English and follows ATS-friendly formatting standards to ensure client resumes pass automated screening systems. The fully remote work setup requires excellent written communication and the ability to manage multiple client timelines simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview clients via email intake forms and telephone calls to collect detailed career history, achievements, and job target information.
- Write clean, professionally formatted, ATS-friendly resumes tailored to the target roles and industries specified by each client.
- Craft engaging cover letters that complement the resume and articulate the client value proposition for specific job applications.
- Optimise LinkedIn profiles by rewriting summaries, experience descriptions, headline sections, and skills to increase recruiter visibility.
- Revise resume drafts based on client feedback within 24 to 48 hours of submission while maintaining document quality standards.
- Stay updated on current hiring trends, ATS keyword requirements, and industry-specific resume conventions across major sectors.
- Assist in developing reusable resume templates and writing guides for common industries including IT, finance, marketing, and healthcare.
- Maintain accurate records of all active client orders and deliver completed documents before the service-level agreement deadline.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor degree in English, Communication, Human Resources, or any discipline with strong academic writing performance and record.
- Excellent English writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and vocabulary to match different professional contexts and industries.
- Strong understanding of professional resume conventions including formatting, summary writing, achievement quantification, and keyword optimisation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word for advanced document formatting including tables, columns, custom styles, and section breaks.
- Basic knowledge of ATS systems and the importance of keyword alignment between resumes and target job descriptions is advantageous.
- Empathetic client communication skills to gather information from clients who may have difficulty articulating their own accomplishments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple simultaneous client orders, and deliver on time without requiring constant supervision.
- Attention to detail with zero tolerance for typos, formatting inconsistencies, or grammatical errors in any client deliverable.
