Role Context

AdCopy Remote USA manages digital marketing campaigns for clients in e-commerce, B2B SaaS, real estate, and consumer goods. The agency runs performance-driven campaigns where every word is tested and measured for conversion impact. Freelance copywriters are embedded within client account teams and collaborate with designers, media buyers, and strategists to produce copy that aligns with campaign objectives and brand guidelines. Engagements typically range from 20 to 40 hours per month per client with potential to scale based on campaign performance and new business wins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write compelling, conversion-focused copy for paid social media advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Display networks.
  • Develop email marketing sequences including welcome series, promotional campaigns, cart abandonment flows, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Create high-converting landing page copy including headlines, subheadings, benefit bullets, social proof sections, and clear calls to action.
  • Write video ad scripts for YouTube pre-roll, TikTok, and connected TV placements that hook viewers within the first three seconds.
  • Develop brand messaging frameworks including taglines, value propositions, tone of voice guidelines, and brand positioning statements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure copy length, hierarchy, and tone align with visual layout and campaign creative direction.
  • Review campaign performance data with account managers and rewrite underperforming copy variations based on A/B testing results.
  • Attend weekly client creative briefing calls to understand campaign goals, audience personas, and messaging priorities for each assignment.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum two years of professional copywriting experience in a digital marketing agency, in-house marketing team, or established freelance capacity.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of direct response copy including ads, emails, and landing pages with measurable performance results preferred.
  • Deep understanding of persuasion frameworks including AIDA, PAS, and FAB and the ability to apply them across different formats naturally.
  • Strong command of American English with the ability to write in multiple brand voices ranging from conversational to authoritative and technical.
  • Experience writing for at least two of the following channels: paid social, email marketing, landing pages, or video scripts.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate audience insights and campaign objectives into high-impact copy within tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable using project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Notion, or similar platforms for brief intake and delivery.
  • Self-directed and reliable with the ability to deliver high-quality work on time without requiring frequent oversight or micromanagement.
