About This Role
SEOWrite India is hiring junior SEO content writers to support its growing client base of digital marketing agencies, SaaS products, and online publishers across India and globally. This is a full-time remote role that combines content writing with search engine optimisation fundamentals to produce articles and web pages that rank well on Google and drive organic traffic. The position is suited to freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience who have a strong interest in both writing and digital marketing. Training on advanced SEO tools and techniques is provided from day one.
Role Context
The SEO content team at SEOWrite India is responsible for producing keyword-targeted blog content, pillar pages, product comparison articles, and location-based landing pages for a range of client websites. Writers work from detailed content briefs prepared by in-house SEO strategists and are expected to understand search intent, topic authority, and on-page optimisation techniques. Work is fully remote with deliverables tracked through project management software. Writers receive weekly content quality scores and SEO performance feedback to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Write SEO-optimised articles, blog posts, and landing pages based on keyword research briefs provided by the SEO strategy team.
- Incorporate primary and secondary keywords naturally throughout content while maintaining readability and avoiding keyword stuffing.
- Structure content with proper HTML heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) and write compelling meta titles and meta descriptions for each piece.
- Research competitor content and SERP results to ensure each article addresses search intent comprehensively and outperforms existing results.
- Write internal linking anchor text recommendations to support site architecture and distribute page authority effectively.
- Produce content across diverse niches including technology, finance, health, travel, and e-commerce as assigned by project leads.
- Review and update existing underperforming content based on Google Search Console data and editor recommendations regularly.
- Submit final drafts in WordPress or Google Docs with correct formatting, header tags, image alt text suggestions, and source citations.
- Participate in weekly SEO and content team reviews to discuss ranking performance, content gaps, and upcoming topic calendars.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; strong academic writing record considered in lieu of degree.
- Foundational understanding of SEO principles including keyword research, search intent, on-page optimisation, and content structure.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, or Google Keyword Planner even at a beginner level.
- Ability to write clear, engaging, and factually accurate content across multiple topic categories without relying on AI-generated filler.
- Familiarity with WordPress for content publishing, formatting, and basic category and tag management tasks.
- Strong research skills to gather accurate information from authoritative sources and synthesise it into readable, original content.
- Consistent ability to meet daily and weekly word count targets while maintaining high editorial quality standards.
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating SEO-friendly article structure, keyword usage, and engaging introductory hooks.
