Role Context

The content team at ContentNest India serves a portfolio of digital publishers, e-commerce brands, and SaaS companies that require consistent, SEO-optimised written content. Writers are assigned content briefs complete with target keywords, word counts, and reference links, and are expected to produce original, well-researched drafts that meet client editorial standards. All content is reviewed by editors before delivery, ensuring writers receive constructive feedback and guidance that builds skills over time. The work is entirely remote and deadline-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and write original, well-structured blog articles and long-form content pieces based on provided editorial briefs.
  • Incorporate target keywords naturally and follow on-page SEO best practices including proper heading hierarchy and meta descriptions.
  • Write engaging website landing page copy, product descriptions, and about sections for e-commerce and SaaS clients.
  • Produce social media captions, LinkedIn posts, and short-form content for brand communication channels as assigned.
  • Revise and incorporate editorial feedback promptly to meet final quality standards and publication deadlines.
  • Conduct accurate factual research using credible online sources and properly attribute information within content.
  • Adapt writing tone, style, and vocabulary to match different brand voices and target audience demographics effectively.
  • Submit content through the internal content management system with correct formatting, headings, and image suggestions.
  • Collaborate with the SEO and editorial teams during weekly briefing sessions to align on upcoming content calendars.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or any discipline with demonstrated strong writing ability.
  • Excellent command of the English language with near-perfect grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure in written work.
  • Basic understanding of SEO content writing principles including keyword placement, readability, and internal linking.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or similar platforms for drafting and formatting posts.
  • Ability to write at least 2,000 to 3,000 words of quality content per day consistently and meet submission deadlines.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources into original, reader-friendly content.
  • Openness to editorial feedback and a continuous improvement mindset to develop writing quality over time.
  • Portfolio of writing samples, academic essays, or personal blog posts demonstrating writing ability and range of topics.
