Freelance E-Learning Video Editors handle lecture recording post-production — cutting instructor talking-head footage, integrating screen recordings, adding animated explanations, and producing instructional video to Coursera's stringent audio-visual quality standards. The e-learning video specialization is a growing and well-paying niche — as digital education expands globally, skilled educational video editors are in strong demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit lecture and instructional video content — cutting instructor talking-head recordings, removing errors, and pacing for optimal learning attention retention
• Integrate screen recordings, code walkthroughs, and software tutorial captures with instructor footage in multi-track edit timelines
• Create animated explanatory content using After Effects — concept diagrams, process flowcharts, data visualizations, and mathematical formula animations
• Add instructional overlays — highlighted text, pointer animations, chapter markers, and key concept callout graphics
• Process audio quality — noise reduction, EQ, compression, and normalization for consistent lecture audio levels
• Produce course promotional trailer videos — short marketing clips introducing course content, instructors, and learning outcomes for the Coursera catalogue

Requirements & Skills

• Degree or diploma in Media Production, Film, Education Technology, or related field — 2024/2025 batch
• Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency; Camtasia or ScreenFlow for screen recording editing is a bonus
• After Effects for animated instructional content creation
• Strong audio editing skills — noise reduction, normalization, and lecture audio quality improvement
• Patience and precision for instructional content — e-learning video requires higher accuracy than advertising
• Interest in education and learning content as a video production specialization
