About This Role

Disney+ Hotstar India is hiring fresh graduates as Freelance Video Editors within its Content Marketing and Social Media teams. You will produce promotional video content for Disney+ Hotstar's India streaming slate — including originals, sports coverage (IPL, ICC), Bollywood films, regional content, and Disney/Marvel IP — creating trailer cuts, social reels, and OTT marketing content that drives subscriptions and viewer engagement.

Freelance Video Editors work across this extraordinary content library — cutting IPL match highlights, Marvel trailer adaptation reels, Bollywood promotional clips, and Hotstar Specials series launch content for India's 50 million+ active streaming subscribers. The breadth of IP available — from cricket to superhero films to regional drama — makes Disney+ Hotstar one of the most diverse and exciting freelance video environments in India's entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit promotional trailer cuts for Disney+ Hotstar India's original series and Bollywood acquisitions — compelling 90s and 3-minute trailers from raw series footage
• Produce IPL and sports highlights content — match highlight reels, player feature videos, and season countdown social content
• Create social media promotional clips for Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars IP adapted for India audiences — Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Twitter/X video
• Edit regional language content promotional material — Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali content trailers and social clips
• Build motion graphic packages for Disney+ Hotstar brand campaigns — animated logos, subscription promotion ads, and feature communication videos
• Produce celebrity interview edits and behind-the-scenes content from Hotstar production shoots

Requirements & Skills

• Degree or diploma in Film Editing, Mass Communication, or Media Production — 2024/2025 batch
• Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects proficiency; DaVinci Resolve is a bonus
• Deep knowledge of Indian entertainment — OTT content, Bollywood, cricket, and regional cinema
• Instinctive ability to cut compelling entertainment trailers — knowing which moments create suspense, emotion, and desire to watch
• Speed under deadline — OTT marketing cycles move fast around sports events and content releases
• Portfolio demonstrating entertainment trailer, social reel, or sports highlight editing
