We are hiring Entry-Level Junior Architects at Burns & McDonnell's Kansas City world headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural design documents for Burns & McDonnell projects across aviation, industrial, military, and corporate campus typologies
  • Produce Revit architectural models and construction documents for design-build delivery, where architectural and construction teams work in close collaboration
  • Coordinate architectural design with Burns & McDonnell's civil, structural, and MEP engineering teams within integrated design-build project teams
  • Support aviation terminal design projects — applying FAA and TSA design guidelines, airline operations requirements, and gate configuration analysis
  • Participate in Burns & McDonnell's design-build project delivery — learning the full construction project lifecycle from programming through commissioning
  • Apply sustainability design strategies and energy code compliance to Burns & McDonnell's high-performance building projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
  • Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
  • Interest in design-build delivery, aviation, industrial, or large-scale campus architecture
  • US citizenship preferred for federal and military project work
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills for integrated AE design-build environments
