Junior Architectural Designer (New Grad) – NBBJ

NBBJ also leads the field in healthcare architecture, designing flagship academic medical centers for Stanford Health, Ohio State, and Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. NBBJ combines design excellence with technology-enabled design research — pioneering the use of computational design, post-occupancy analytics, and biophilic design principles in architecture. We are hiring New Grad Junior Architectural Designers at NBBJ's Seattle headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural design for NBBJ's technology campus, workplace, and healthcare projects — applying NBBJ's research-based design principles for productivity, wellness, and innovation
- Build parametric Revit and Rhino/Grasshopper design models enabling design optimization and computational exploration of architectural form and performance
- Produce high-quality design visualizations and presentation graphics for NBBJ's Fortune 500 technology and healthcare clients
- Conduct post-occupancy research and design measurement — collecting and analyzing sensor data, occupancy analytics, and user satisfaction surveys to evaluate building performance
- Apply biophilic design principles, daylighting analysis, and workplace strategy research to NBBJ's workplace design projects
- Coordinate with NBBJ's computational design, sustainability, and interior design teams on integrated project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program — strong academic record
- Revit and Rhino/Grasshopper proficiency; computational design or data visualization skills are a strong differentiator
- Interest in technology campus design, workplace strategy, or healthcare architecture
- Strong design thinking skills combined with genuine curiosity about how buildings perform for their users
- Python or other scripting for computational design is a significant plus
