Job Overview

Role Context

IHG's Development & Technical Services team in India manages the design review and approval process for hotel development and renovation projects across IHG's India portfolio — working with hotel owners, developers, and their design consultants to deliver IHG-branded hotels that meet the firm's brand design standards. Design Coordinators support this team in reviewing owner design submissions, maintaining project databases, and coordinating design information across IHG's global design teams. India is among IHG's fastest-growing Asia-Pacific markets — meaning freshers will engage with a high volume of active hotel development projects across multiple brand tiers simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing interior design drawings and FF&E specifications from hotel owner consultants against IHG's brand design standards
• Prepare design review reports, approval documentation, and technical compliance feedback for hotel owners
• Maintain IHG India's project design tracking database — review status logs, drawing registers, and correspondence records
• Coordinate design information between hotel owners, design consultants, and IHG's Asia-Pacific technical services team
• Research and compile material and FF&E product information for IHG's India brand standard libraries
• Assist in pre-opening site inspections — review interior implementation quality and prepare punch list reports
• Support preparation of brand design guidelines and owner design briefing documentation

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch with hospitality design interest
• AutoCAD proficiency for drawing review and markup
• Strong visual design sensibility across luxury (InterContinental) to midscale (Holiday Inn Express) hotel categories
• Good English communication skills — written and verbal for owner, developer, and international team correspondence
• Detail-oriented and organized for managing multi-brand, multi-project design documentation
• Genuine interest in the hospitality industry and hotel brand identity
