Johnson Controls — a global leader in smart building technologies, HVAC, fire and security systems, and building management solutions — is hiring fresh graduates as Interior Design Coordinators within its Global Workplace Solutions team in India. You will support the interior design and fit-out of Johnson Controls' India offices as part of the firm's global workplace transformation program.

Job Overview

Role Context

Johnson Controls India's Global Workplace Solutions team manages the design, fit-out, and ongoing improvement of JCI's India office environments — supporting hybrid work, smart building integration, and sustainability commitments across JCI's growing India footprint. Interior Design Coordinators support the design team in delivering office fit-out projects that integrate JCI's smart building technologies with comfortable, productive, and sustainable workplace environments. Working within a smart building technology company offers freshers a unique perspective on how HVAC, lighting control, access management, and fire safety systems interact with interior design at the design stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Support interior design development for Johnson Controls India's office environments — workspace areas, smart collaboration zones, cafes, and visitor experience areas
• Prepare design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit — floor plans, furniture layouts, interior elevations, and finish schedules
• Review external design consultant submissions against JCI's global workplace standards
• Coordinate interior design with MEP, IT/AV, smart building technology, and structural consultants
• Assist in FF&E procurement — specification, sample approval, and delivery tracking
• Support site delivery alongside project managers and construction teams
• Maintain project documentation — drawing registers, design decision logs, and project status records

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit experience is an advantage
• Interest in smart building technologies and how building systems integrate with interior design
• Good English communication skills for multi-stakeholder project environments
• Organized and process-oriented for multi-project documentation management
• Portfolio demonstrating commercial or workplace interior design capability
