About This Role

Aurecon — an engineering, design, and advisory company — is hiring fresh graduates as Graduate Designers (Interiors) within its Buildings practice in India. You will work on interior design components of commercial, industrial, transport, and healthcare building projects within Aurecon's integrated multi-disciplinary engineering design teams.

Role Context

Aurecon India's Buildings practice operates within a global engineering and design network spanning Africa, Asia, and Australia. Graduate Designers (Interiors) work within multi-disciplinary project teams where interior design is developed alongside structural, MEP, acoustic, and façade engineering — gaining technical depth in how building systems intersect with interior design decisions. Project typologies include commercial offices, data centers, transport terminals, industrial facilities, and healthcare buildings — all technically complex environments where interior design must satisfy demanding functional requirements alongside aesthetic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design drawings from concept through construction documentation in AutoCAD and Revit
• Contribute to BIM-coordinated design development within multi-disciplinary Revit models
• Prepare finish schedules, room data sheets, FF&E documentation, and reflected ceiling plans
• Create 3D visualizations and design presentation materials for client design reviews
• Coordinate interior design with structural, MEP, acoustic, and façade engineering disciplines
• Support LEED, BREEAM, or WELL documentation for interior material credits and indoor environment quality
• Attend design coordination meetings and site visits; prepare minutes and track action items

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit is preferred
• SketchUp, Lumion, or Rhino for 3D visualization; Adobe Creative Suite for presentations
• Curiosity about building engineering and how building systems affect interior design decisions
• Understanding of sustainable design and occupant wellbeing principles
• Portfolio demonstrating technical drawing quality alongside design concept ability
