Role Context

Tata Projects' Buildings business delivers large-scale construction projects across commercial, healthcare, education, transportation, and government sectors — with interior design and fit-out integral to project scope and client satisfaction. Junior Interior Designers work within multi-disciplinary project delivery teams at Tata Projects' project sites and regional offices, contributing to construction-phase interior design execution. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review interior design drawings for construction — floor plans, elevations, ceiling layouts, and finish schedules in AutoCAD
• Develop interior material specifications, BOQs, and procurement documentation for fit-out packages
• Coordinate interior design requirements with structural, civil, and MEP engineering teams during project delivery
• Evaluate contractor shop drawings for false ceiling, partition, flooring, joinery, and cladding packages
• Conduct site inspections — review material installation quality and raise non-conformance reports
• Assist in client design review meetings during construction administration phases
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency is essential
• Understanding of interior construction — false ceiling systems, partition systems, flooring, joinery, and MEP coordination
• Ability to read structural and MEP drawings and understand their implications for interior design
• Site-readiness and comfort working in active construction project environments
• Familiarity with Indian standards and specifications for interior construction materials
