You will work on interior design and fit-out delivery for large-scale commercial, institutional, healthcare, and government building projects across India.

Job Overview

Role Context

L&T Construction's Buildings & Factories vertical delivers large-scale building projects across commercial offices, hospitals, educational institutions, airports, data centers, and government complexes — with interior design and fit-out forming an integral part of the project delivery scope. Interior Design Engineers join multi-disciplinary project delivery teams, working alongside civil, structural, and MEP engineers on construction-phase interior design execution. The scale, complexity, and technical rigor of L&T projects give freshers rapid exposure to design-to-construction workflows on some of India's most significant building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review interior design drawings for construction — floor plans, interior elevations, ceiling layouts, and finish schedules in AutoCAD
• Coordinate interior design requirements with civil, structural, and MEP engineering teams during construction phases
• Develop and review interior material specifications, BOQs, and procurement documentation
• Evaluate and approve contractor shop drawings for interior fit-out packages — partitions, false ceilings, flooring, joinery, and façade cladding
• Conduct site inspections — review material installation quality, raise non-conformance reports, and track resolution
• Assist in design coordination with client design consultants during construction administration
• Support preparation of as-built interior design documentation at project handover

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency is essential; Revit knowledge is preferred
• Understanding of interior construction — false ceiling systems, partition systems, flooring, joinery, and MEP integration
• Ability to read and interpret structural, MEP, and architectural drawings
• Site-readiness — comfortable working in active construction environments
• Good knowledge of Indian standards and specifications for interior construction materials
