Workplace Design Associate

About This Role

Amazon India is hiring fresh design graduates as Workplace Design Associates within its Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team. You will contribute to the design and fit-out of Amazon's India offices, fulfillment centers, delivery stations, and data center environments — supporting Amazon's rapid expansion of its physical footprint across India.

Role Context

Amazon India's GREF team manages one of the country's largest and fastest-growing corporate real estate portfolios — spanning corporate offices, tech hubs, fulfillment centers, and delivery stations. Workplace Design Associates support GREF's design team in delivering interior fit-out projects at scale — working with Amazon's Design Standards, external design consultants, and construction teams to deliver functional, on-brand interior environments across multiple simultaneous projects. Amazon's design culture emphasizes speed, efficiency, data-driven decisions, and customer-first thinking — all of which shape how interior design is approached within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Support interior design development for Amazon's India corporate offices — workspaces, collaboration areas, cafes, and amenity zones
• Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, and interior design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
• Review external design consultant submissions against Amazon's global Design Standards
• Assist in FF&E specification, procurement, and vendor coordination for fit-out packages
• Coordinate design inputs with project managers, MEP consultants, contractors, and Amazon business unit stakeholders
• Support site delivery — attend progress meetings, review installation quality, and track RFIs and snag lists
• Maintain project documentation — drawing registers, design decision logs, and project status reports

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit experience is preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills — comfort working with data, metrics, and structured project processes
• Good English communication skills for multi-stakeholder corporate environments
• Understanding of commercial interior design and workspace planning principles
• Portfolio demonstrating commercial or workplace interior design capability
