About This Role

Google India is hiring fresh design graduates as Workplace Design Associates within its Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team. You will contribute to the design and delivery of Google's iconic campus environments in India — spaces that are globally recognized for integrating employee wellbeing, playful design, and high functional performance at scale.

Job Overview

Role Context

Google's REWS team in India manages some of the most complex and design-forward corporate campus environments in the country — spanning millions of square feet across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Gurugram. Workplace Design Associates work within REWS's design team, contributing to campus fit-out projects, space reconfigurations, amenity area design, and new campus development alongside external architecture and interior design consultants. Google's design approach is human-centered, data-informed, and highly collaborative — meaning you will work closely with Googlers (end users) to understand how they actually work and design spaces that adapt to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support interior design development for Google's India campus spaces — offices, collaboration areas, cafes, wellness rooms, and amenity zones
• Prepare design briefs, scope documents, and presentations for external design consultants
• Review and provide design feedback on consultant drawings, 3D models, and material specifications
• Coordinate design delivery across project managers, consultants, contractors, and internal Google stakeholders
• Assist in FF&E procurement — specification review, sample approval, and delivery tracking
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations and space utilization studies to inform future design decisions
• Maintain Google's campus design standards documentation and material library

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency
• Strong design sensibility and an understanding of human-centred workplace design
• Data-curious mindset — interest in how occupancy data and user research inform design decisions
• Excellent English communication skills — written and verbal for cross-functional stakeholder work
• Portfolio demonstrating workplace, hospitality, or human-centred interior design projects
