About This Role

Ramboll — a leading engineering, architecture, and consultancy company — is hiring fresh graduates as Interior Design Trainees at its India studios. You will work on interior design for commercial, healthcare, and public building projects within Ramboll's integrated building design teams, where sustainability is embedded in every design decision from the earliest stages.

Role Context

Ramboll India's building design studio integrates architecture, interior design, MEP engineering, and sustainability consulting within unified project teams. Interior Design Trainees are embedded in live projects from the start — working on concept development, material selection, and construction documentation alongside architects and engineers. Ramboll's strong Scandinavian design heritage means sustainability, daylight quality, biophilic design, and occupant wellbeing are central considerations in every interior scheme, giving freshers exposure to design thinking that goes well beyond aesthetics alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing interior design concepts and design development drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
• Prepare finish schedules, FF&E documentation, and material boards for client presentations
• Research sustainable materials and finishes — low-VOC, recycled content, and environmental product declarations
• Create 3D visualizations using SketchUp or Lumion for client design reviews
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, MEP, and sustainability teams on integrated design deliverables
• Support LEED, BREEAM, or WELL documentation for interior material and indoor environment quality credits
• Attend site visits and design coordination meetings; document observations and action items

Requirements & Skills

• B.Des (Interior Design) or B.Arch — 2024/2025 batch
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit is advantageous
• SketchUp or Lumion for visualization
• Genuine interest in sustainable interior design and occupant wellbeing
• Familiarity with green building rating systems (LEED, IGBC, WELL) is a plus
• Portfolio demonstrating sustainable or biophilic design thinking
