Sustainability Analyst – AECOM

We are hiring Sustainability Analysts in Los Angeles to support AECOM's sustainability advisory and green building practice.
Responsibilities
- Support LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge certification processes for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building projects
- Conduct whole-life carbon assessments (embodied carbon + operational carbon) for infrastructure and building projects
- Develop climate resilience and adaptation plans for city and county government clients using NOAA and IPCC climate projections
- Prepare environmental product declaration (EPD) analyses and supply chain carbon assessments for infrastructure materials
- Support GHG emissions inventories and science-based target (SBTi) development for AECOM's corporate and city clients
- Research sustainable design innovations, net-zero building standards, and infrastructure resilience best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Sustainability
- LEED Green Associate certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Understanding of whole-life carbon assessment, embodied carbon, and climate resilience planning
- Proficiency in Excel; Revit, AutoCAD, or energy modeling tools (eQUEST, EnergyPlus) are a plus
- Strong technical writing skills for sustainability reports and green building certifications
