Data Analyst – Audience Measurement – Nielsen
Nielsen is the global standard in audience measurement, data, and analytics — its ratings are trusted by every major broadcaster, streaming service, and advertiser to understand what 100 million Americans watch and listen to. We are hiring a Data Analyst for our Audience Measurement team in Chicago — helping clients like ABC, CBS, Netflix, and Disney make multi-billion-dollar content and advertising decisions with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Analyze TV, streaming, digital, and audio audience measurement data from Nielsen's panels and metered datasets
- Produce standardized and custom audience reports for broadcast, cable, and streaming clients
- Conduct cross-platform audience duplication and reach analysis for advertising campaign planning
- Identify anomalies in audience measurement data and investigate root causes with methodology teams
- Build SAS and Python programs to automate report production for recurring client deliverables
- Support media clients in interpreting Nielsen ratings and applying them to content and advertising strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Media Analytics, Mathematics, or related field
- Strong SAS, SQL, or Python programming skills
- Interest in media, advertising, and audience behavior research
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards for client-facing data deliverables
- Experience with Nielsen data or media research is a plus but not required
