About This Role
Canva — the world's most popular online design platform with 185+ million monthly users globally — is hiring fresh design graduates as Junior Visual Designers for its India team in Bengaluru, creating design templates, visual content, and marketing assets that inspire and empower the world's largest design community to create beautiful things.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, professionally designed templates for Canva's platform — social media post templates, presentation templates, poster designs, and marketing material templates used by millions of global users
- Design marketing campaign visuals for Canva India's user acquisition, brand awareness, and partnership campaigns
- Create educational design content — design tutorial visuals, style guides, and "how to design" resource graphics for Canva's Design School
- Develop visual assets for Canva India's social media channels — Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube showcasing Indian design culture and Canva features
- Design Canva's print and merchandise product visuals — business cards, flyers, brochures, and branded merchandise templates for Indian market
- Contribute to Canva's global template library by creating India and South Asia-specific design templates
Requirements & Skills
- B.Des/B.F.A./B.Sc. in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related — 2024/2025 batch
- Mastery of Canva (naturally!) and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Broad design versatility — ability to design across multiple styles, industries, and use cases
- Genuine passion for design accessibility — making great design achievable for everyone
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design craft across diverse formats and styles
- Understanding of design trends, color, typography, and contemporary visual culture
