About This Role
HT Digital Streams — the digital arm of the Hindustan Times Media Group and publisher of Hindustan Times, Mint, and Livemint — is hiring fresh design graduates as Junior Graphic Designers for its digital newsroom and content studio, creating editorial visuals, data visualizations, and digital marketing assets for one of India's most trusted news media brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Design editorial illustrations, news article hero images, and editorial infographics for Hindustan Times and Mint digital editions
- Create social media content — news summary graphics, trending topic visuals, explainer infographics, and breaking news creatives for HT's social channels
- Develop data visualization graphics — charts, maps, and interactive infographic assets for business and political news coverage
- Design emailer templates for HT's news briefing newsletters and premium subscription campaigns
- Create digital advertising materials — banner ads, sponsored content visuals, and native advertising graphics
- Design special coverage visuals — election graphic templates, Budget Day infographics, and festival news specials
Requirements & Skills
- B.Des/B.F.A./B.Sc./B.Journalism in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Mass Communication — 2024/2025 batch
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; knowledge of data visualization tools (Flourish, Datawrapper) is a plus
- Keen interest in current affairs, Indian politics, business news, and journalism
- Ability to create accurate, fast, and clear visual communication under tight news deadlines
- Understanding of editorial design aesthetics and news publication visual conventions
