In-Home Academic Tutor – A+ Tutoring Services
A+ Tutoring Services is a regional in-home tutoring company serving students throughout the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area. We specialize in K-12 academic tutoring delivered in the most convenient and effective setting — the student's home. We are seeking reliable, credentialed In-Home Academic Tutors for Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular in-home tutoring sessions (typically 1-2 hours, 2-3 times per week)
- Evaluate each student's current academic standing and establish an improvement plan
- Assist with homework, reinforce classroom material, and prepare students for upcoming tests and quizzes
- Communicate with parents at the end of each session with progress updates and recommendations
- Maintain consistent attendance and notify families and A+ staff promptly of any scheduling changes
- Request school progress reports and test scores to calibrate tutoring focus areas
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in the subject area you wish to tutor
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid NC driver's license
- Experience tutoring or teaching students in a school, private, or volunteer setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Background check required (A+ Tutoring covers the cost)
