Academic Mentor and Tutor – Crimson Education

Our Academic Mentors provide rigorous academic subject tutoring and strategic guidance to ambitious high school students preparing for top-tier university applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive subject tutoring in areas such as AP courses, IB curriculum, STEM subjects, or Humanities to high-achieving high school students
  • Mentor students on academic strategy — course selection, workload management, and long-term planning for university readiness
  • Prepare students for AP, SAT Subject Tests, and IB examinations with rigorous practice and feedback
  • Conduct weekly 1-on-1 online sessions aligned with student academic and admissions goals
  • Collaborate with Crimson's admissions strategists to align academic support with application timelines
  • Share notes and action items via Crimson's internal platform after each session

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a highly selective university (Ivy League, MIT, Stanford, or equivalent preferred)
  • Exceptional academic record with deep expertise in at least one subject area
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to inspire and challenge high-ability students
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, or coaching experience required
  • Passion for education and helping students reach their fullest potential
