Tutor and Learning Strategist – Revolution Prep
Revolution Prep is a fast-growing tutoring and test prep company that pairs students with dedicated tutors who provide both academic content support and powerful study skills and learning strategy coaching. We are seeking Tutors and Learning Strategists who go beyond just explaining answers — they teach students how to learn more effectively for life.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tutoring sessions in academic subjects and standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, AP, SSAT, ISEE)
- Coach students on study skills, time management, and test-taking strategies alongside content tutoring
- Conduct initial learning strategy assessments to identify each student's strengths and challenges
- Design a personalized tutoring plan with measurable milestones and communicate it to parents
- Hold regular sessions and maintain consistency, adjusting approaches when students plateau
- Collaborate with Revolution Prep's academic support team to share best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (required); graduate degree is a plus
- Experience with SAT/ACT test prep preferred
- Strong results orientation with proven ability to improve student test scores or grades
- Enthusiastic, motivating personality that resonates with high school students
- Reliable tech setup for video tutoring sessions
