Kumon Instructor / Home Math Tutor – Kumon North America

Our Kumon instructors and affiliated home tutors guide students from basic foundations through advanced coursework using Kumon's structured, self-learning worksheet method. Responsibilities
- Guide students through Kumon's sequential math and reading worksheets at their individual level
- Observe and evaluate student work to determine appropriate daily worksheet assignments
- Provide corrective feedback and encouragement without giving direct answers
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and next milestones
- Conduct home session visits or coordinate at nearby Kumon center
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and completion times
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled; strong background in Mathematics preferred
- Patient, methodical teaching approach aligned with Kumon's self-paced philosophy
- Experience with K-12 students in tutoring, coaching, or volunteer teaching
- Reliable transportation for home visit sessions
- Clean background check required
