Learning Coach / Home Tutor – Sylvan Learning
Sylvan Learning is the leading supplemental education provider in North America, helping students in grades K-12 achieve academic success and build the confidence they need to succeed in school and life. We are seeking passionate Learning Coaches to deliver personalized tutoring sessions in students' homes or via our online platform.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized tutoring sessions in Reading, Writing, Math, and Study Skills to K-12 students
- Follow Sylvan's research-backed curriculum while adapting instruction to each student's pace and learning style
- Track and document student progress using Sylvan's tools and reporting systems
- Communicate clearly with parents about session outcomes and recommended next steps
- Maintain a positive, encouraging environment that builds student confidence and motivation
- Collaborate with Sylvan center staff to align home tutoring with in-center programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or related subject
- Experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation for in-home sessions
- Background check clearance required
