Biomedical R&D Associate – LivaNova

Our Houston, TX facility is seeking a Biomedical R&D Associate to support cardiac surgery and neuromodulation device development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design and testing of cardiac surgery (heart-lung machine) and vagus nerve stimulation devices
- Conduct in-vitro and in-vivo preclinical testing per study protocols
- Document test results and support regulatory submission packages for FDA and CE Mark
- Support animal study coordination and post-study tissue analysis
- Participate in design FMEA and risk management activities per ISO 14971
- Contribute to intellectual property research and prior art reviews
Requirements
- BS in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or Bioengineering (recent graduate welcome)
- Research laboratory experience, particularly with animal models or electrophysiology
- Familiarity with FDA IDE studies and GLP regulations is a plus
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to present research findings clearly
- Collaborative attitude with genuine interest in developing life-changing therapies
