Biomedical Applications Engineer – Agilent Technologies
Agilent Technologies is a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets. Our Santa Clara headquarters is seeking a Biomedical Applications Engineer to support customers using our analytical instruments and laboratory solutions in life science and clinical research applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical applications support for Agilent instruments in genomics, proteomics, and clinical diagnostic workflows
- Develop and validate analytical methods for biomedical research applications
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to support pre-sales demonstrations and customer evaluations
- Create application notes, technical documentation, and training materials
- Assist customers with troubleshooting instrument performance and data analysis
- Stay current on emerging biomedical research trends and next-generation sequencing technologies
Requirements
- BS or MS in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instruments (LC-MS, NGS, microarrays) preferred
- Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis with R, Python, or bioinformatics pipelines is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and conferences
