R&D Engineer I – Biomedical – Integra LifeSciences
Integra LifeSciences is a global leader in regenerative medicine and neurosurgery, dedicated to limiting uncertainty for clinicians so they can focus on providing the best patient care. We are seeking an R&D Engineer I to contribute to our regenerative tissue technologies in Plainsboro, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Support design and development of regenerative medicine and neurosurgical products
- Perform bench testing and characterization of biomaterials and scaffold technologies
- Assist in design verification and validation (V&V) activities per ISO 13485
- Contribute to technical reports, design history files, and design change documentation
- Conduct literature reviews and competitive analysis to inform product design decisions
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering for design transfer activities
Requirements
- BS in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
- Experience with biomaterials testing or tissue engineering research (internship/co-op counts)
- Familiarity with GLP laboratory practices and FDA regulations
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Excel or MATLAB
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
