Entry Level Biomedical Engineer – Zimmer Biomet
Zimmer Biomet is a world leader in musculoskeletal healthcare, designing and manufacturing orthopedic reconstructive implants, surgical devices, and related products. Our Warsaw, IN campus is seeking Entry Level Biomedical Engineers to support our innovative implant development teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design and testing of orthopedic implants (knee, hip, shoulder reconstruction)
- Support biomechanical testing including wear simulation, fatigue testing, and static load testing per ASTM standards
- Create and maintain engineering drawings and CAD models using CATIA or SolidWorks
- Document test results and contribute to design history files (DHF)
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings
- Assist quality engineering with non-conformance investigations and CAPAs
Requirements
- BS in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 0-2 years of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with ASTM, ISO 10993, and FDA design control requirements preferred
- CAD software experience (SolidWorks, CATIA) is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong written documentation skills
