Inito — the Bengaluru startup behind India's first at-home fertility hormone monitor — is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Hardware Engineers to develop the next generation of consumer medical diagnostic devices that make laboratory-quality hormone testing accessible from home.
Job Overview
As a Hardware Engineer at Inito, you will work on the full hardware development cycle for Inito's fertility and women's health diagnostic devices — designing analog front-end circuits for optical biosensing, developing PCBs, debugging hardware prototypes, and supporting design verification in a fast-moving medical device startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog front-end circuits for optical detection of fertility hormones (LH, FSH, estradiol, progesterone) — photodetector interfaces, transimpedance amplifiers, and signal conditioning circuits
- Design multi-layer PCBs for Inito's diagnostic reader hardware using Altium Designer — optimizing for signal quality, power efficiency, and BOM cost
- Develop embedded firmware interfaces for optical sensor data acquisition, Bluetooth BLE connectivity, and mobile app data transfer
- Build and characterize hardware prototypes — evaluate performance against analytical specifications and identify design improvements
- Support design verification and regulatory testing — optical performance, electrical safety (IEC 60601), and analytical performance per ISO 15197/IVDR standards
- Collaborate with Inito's firmware, mobile app, and algorithm teams to optimize system-level performance
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in ECE, EEE, Biomedical Engineering, or Instrumentation — 2024/2025 batch
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design — transimpedance amplifiers, ADCs, noise analysis, and signal chain optimization
- PCB design experience (Altium, KiCad) with hands-on prototyping and hardware debugging skills
- Basic embedded C/Python for hardware interfacing and test automation
- Interest in consumer health diagnostics, optical biosensing, or women's health technology
- High ownership mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
