About This Role
Syrma SGS Technology — one of India's leading electronics design and manufacturing services (EDMS) companies — is hiring fresh engineering graduates as PCB Design Engineers – Medical Electronics to design and verify printed circuit boards for medical-grade electronic devices produced at Syrma's ISO 13485-certified manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design multi-layer PCBs for medical-grade electronic devices — patient monitoring, diagnostic instruments, and point-of-care diagnostics — using Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or KiCad
- Perform schematic capture, component selection, and DRC/DFM review for medical PCB designs meeting IEC 60601 creepage and clearance requirements
- Develop PCB layout strategies for low-noise analog biosignal circuits (ECG, EMG, EEG front-ends) and high-speed digital interfaces
- Perform design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) reviews with manufacturing and test engineering teams
- Support PCB prototype assembly, bring-up, and first-article testing
- Create and maintain PCB documentation — fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and design history files per ISO 13485
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, or Biomedical Engineering — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of analog circuit design, PCB layout principles, and signal integrity
- Exposure to PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or Cadence) through academic or personal projects
- Interest in medical electronics and safety-critical PCB design
- Familiarity with IEC 60601 electrical safety requirements for medical PCBs is a plus
