Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test embedded C firmware for Opto's patient monitoring devices — pulse oximeters, cardiac monitors, fetal monitors, and hospital-grade SpO2 sensors
- Implement real-time signal acquisition and processing algorithms for physiological parameters — SpO2, ECG, NIBP, and fetal heart rate
- Design and debug firmware for communication interfaces — USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RS-232, and UART — for medical device connectivity
- Perform design verification of embedded firmware per IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle standard
- Write and review software design documentation — architecture descriptions, unit test plans, and software risk analysis
- Support regulatory submissions by preparing IEC 62304 software documentation for FDA and CE submissions
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science — 2024/2025 batch
- Embedded C programming skills with microcontroller development experience (STM32, MSP430, or similar)
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS — FreeRTOS), interrupt handling, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Basic understanding of biosignal processing — ECG, SpO2, photoplethysmography (PPG) is a significant advantage
- Interest in medical device firmware and safety-critical embedded software development
Benefits & Work Conditions
- Competitive fresher CTC with annual performance increments
- Opto Circuits' embedded medical device firmware training
- Health insurance and PF
- Exposure to international medical device regulatory standards (FDA, CE, IEC 62304)
