About This Role
Skanray Technologies — one of India's most innovative medical imaging companies — is hiring fresh engineering graduates as R&D Engineers – Medical Imaging Systems to contribute to the design and development of Skanray's X-ray, C-arm, and mobile imaging systems exported to 50+ countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in hardware design and development for digital X-ray and fluoroscopy imaging systems — power electronics, HV generation, detector interfaces
- Develop and debug embedded firmware for Skanray imaging systems using C/C++ on ARM microcontroller platforms
- Perform design verification testing — electrical safety testing per IEC 60601-1, radiation output measurements per IEC 60601-1-3, and image quality assessments
- Create and review technical documentation — design specifications, test protocols, BOM, and design history files (DHF) per ISO 13485
- Support failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and hazard analysis for new product designs
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and engineering knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, ECE, or EEE — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of power electronics, HV circuits, analog/digital design, or embedded systems
- Interest in medical imaging physics — X-ray generation, image receptors, and image quality
- Programming skills in C/C++ or Python for firmware development or test automation
- Strong curiosity, technical problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to contribute to product innovation
