About This Role
Becton Dickinson (BD) is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Manufacturing Engineers at its India manufacturing facilities — contributing to BD's production of injection systems, surgical blades, diagnostics consumables, and vascular access products that improve healthcare delivery globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production operations on the manufacturing floor — process monitoring, output tracking, and first-pass yield improvement
- Assist in manufacturing process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new products and process changes
- Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools — value stream mapping, SMED, 5S, Kaizen — to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Investigate process non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Maintain manufacturing documentation — process sheets, work instructions, and machine calibration records
- Support new product introduction (NPI) — tooling qualification, production trials, and line setup activities
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, GMP, and quality control in regulated environments
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to process detail
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks for manufacturing documentation is a plus
