About This Role
Philips India is recruiting fresh engineering graduates to join its Bengaluru and Pune R&D centers as R&D Engineers – Medical Devices — contributing to Philips' global medical device product development pipeline across patient monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and connected care platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to hardware and firmware development for Philips medical device products — patient monitors, ultrasound systems, and diagnostic imaging equipment
- Support design verification and validation (V&V) activities — developing test protocols, executing tests, and documenting results per IEC 60601 and ISO 13485 standards
- Assist in PCB design review, schematic analysis, and embedded firmware debugging for medical device hardware
- Write and review design documentation — specifications, test reports, risk analysis (ISO 14971), and FMEA documents
- Support regulatory submission activities for FDA 510(k), CE marking, and CDSCO approval documentation
- Collaborate with global Philips R&D teams in the Netherlands, USA, and China on shared platform development
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, ECE, EEE, or Instrumentation — 2024/2025 batch
- Understanding of analog/digital circuit design, embedded systems, or signal processing
- Familiarity with medical device standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485) is an advantage
- Good technical writing and documentation skills
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for test automation or signal analysis
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to design detail
