Field Service Engineer – Medical Imaging

About This Role

GE HealthCare is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Field Service Engineers – Medical Imaging to maintain and service GE HealthCare's portfolio of CT, MRI, X-ray, PET-CT, and ultrasound systems installed across India's hospitals, diagnostic centers, and government healthcare institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on GE HealthCare medical imaging equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose hardware, software, and electromechanical faults using GE's proprietary service diagnostic tools
• Complete scheduled maintenance per GE HealthCare's preventive maintenance protocols and service manuals
• Maintain accurate service records in GE's ServiceMax field service management system
• Provide on-call emergency support and rapid response to equipment downtime at hospital customers
• Coordinate with GE HealthCare's application specialists for clinical image quality assessments post-maintenance

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, ECE, EEE, or Instrumentation Engineering — 2024/2025 batch
• Understanding of medical imaging principles (X-ray physics, MRI fundamentals, ultrasound)
• Good electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable with field service work — regular travel to hospital customer sites across assigned territory
• Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence preferred
• Customer-facing communication skills in English and regional language
